Bio

Guy Nutter

Over 24 years of experience providing expertise in crime scene investigation, bloodstain pattern analysis and trace evidence. I've investigated hundreds of suspicious death scenes in my career and analyzed trace, footwear and bloodstain pattern evidence in an ISO accredited forensic laboratory. Additionally, I have provided expert witness testimony in these forensic disciplines and been responsible for the development and implementation of forensic and crime scene training for over 20 years. I've provided training to thousands of law enforcement and laboratory personnel, as well as attorneys throughout the United States. For the last 10 years, I've served as the State Police's Technical Leader (SME) in the disciplines of scene investigation and bloodstain pattern analysis. During this period, I lead the department to achieving its first ever ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation in the discipline of scene investigation. I've served on the board of directors for the Midwestern Association of Forensic Scientists and was a member of the Organization of Scientific Area Committees for Forensic Science - Crime Scene Investigation and Reconstruction Subcommittee. I have also presented to all levels of educational institutions on the subject of crime scene investigation and forensic science to help spark the next generation of forensic scientists and scene investigators. For more on my background and experience, please check out my curriculum vitae.
